With the harse penalties players are still getting in trouble, if anything it means he needs to toughen up.
NE was warmed 3 times individually and the league was warned before week 1, about this very thing and he did it anyway. I have no idea if this is a massive advantage or a small one, but he knew he couldn't do it, and he did anyway. If he doesn't slap the HC silly all the players think there is a double standard against them, and they'd be right. He had to hammer the coach the way he has the players.
