249-207 right now...

Kerry leading in all other states except NM and Alaska...

Ohio will go to litigation in about 4 hours.

Bush has won this thing IMO.

Too bad.

Popular vote this time is firmly on Bush's side...at least as firm as a race this close can be.

It's looking bad for Kerry, but even if the race should somehow end up in a Redskins-Packers like ending with Kerry pulling it out of nowhere, the fact that 11 states passed Constitutional ammendments banning gay marriage will leave me shaking my head for a long time.

It's almost 2005, and people are choosing to write discrimination into state Constitutions

I couldn't beleive that, I just couldn't beleive that.

Here we are in 2004 and people are trying to tell other people they can't get married, what a joke.

He's leading Nevada by 3000 votes w/ 17% of the precincts reporting...far from over in that state. Bush is leading in NM by 20,000 votes w/ 87% of the precincts reporting. Bush leading Ohio by 100,000 votes with 87% of the precincts as well.

(looking at yahoo)

I doubt we'll know who wins this election for sure tonight...

Bush is now at 269...its all over. Alaska gives him all he needs.

Even if Kerry sweeps....its decided by the house of representatives. The Republicans have 30 states there.

As bad as it "sounds"...they are just voting on the use of the word "marriage" as a union between two people of the same sex.

Even Bush has admitted he is supportive of allowing "unions" to be legalized that will give all gay couples the same benefits that a man and woman will receive.

Its all about a word....and its conotation.

Thats exactly it, its just a word. Let them have it who cares, we use it all the time. How many straight people get married divorced each year? And it has nothing to do with religion anymore.

It just makes me shake my head when I hear people not wanting gay people to get married.

NBC, Fox, all the networks.

Even tho CNN and ABC havent called Ohio yet...they will have to.

ONE thing though...they just interviewed the Attorney General for Ohio and he said there may be as many as 200,000 provisional/absentee ballots in the state.

If the margin remains less than 100,000....they will have to count those as well, before anything can be determined in Ohio.
