Not to mention an auto-berth in the mem cup for the hitmen, been almost 10 years since their last one...

If the Giants end up playing Everett it'll be a war too. Those teams just flat out don't like each other, and I think Everett went either 5-1 or 6-0 in the season series this year.

Prince George, despite being outshot 39-23, wins 4-3 in Everett to take a 3-2 series lead tonight heading back to PG. How big an upset would that be, especially since the Cougs are without their captain!

Whats more impressive is that the Cougars came back from a 3-0 deficit in the 3rd to win that game in Everett tonight

LOL! Could you imagine a Calgary-Prince George final?

The first round saw three of the top seven teams eliminated. The second round has two more teetering on the edge. This has been one interesting playoff year.

Hey, maybe the flames can come back from a 2-0 series deficit too.

Amazing game by the Hitmen. The Wheat Kings were pressuring Calgary so much, but they just would not be denied. For the amount of time Brandon spent with the puck, to get only 19 shots shows just how dominant our defense was.

Huge, huge series coming up against the Hat. There is a good chance that a win in this series could mean a Memorial Cup berth.

It was an awesome display of the desire by the Hitmen. Definitely a little nervous for Medicine Hat but bring them on! The Hitmen playoff games I've been to show me a team determined to win. Can't wait for the next round!

Wow. Congrats to Calgary I expected them to get swept or lose in five to Kootenay. I have not seen their games in the play-offs to see how they are winning but based on their roster and play during the regular season I thought they would be dead in the water in the play-offs.

Medicine Hat will be a tough opponent but the way that Everett is choking against PG it looks like Vancouver may be the best bet to come out of the West right now.

Back from the game. We pretty much deserved this game. I'm surprised Brandon didn't push harder. First period was dominated by the Hitmen but Brandon got a goal that should've been stopped for 1-0 lead. It was a weak shot between the legs of Spence from the faceoff dot.

Second period was a little more even but the Hitmen got 2 goals in that period. The second goal came from behind the goal line in the corner. I couldn't tell if it hit the Brandon goalie in the back or hit their dmen who was skating in towards the net. A bit of fluke or a weak goal anyways.

The 3rd period belong to the Hitmen. I'm really surprised that Brandon did not push harder at all after being down 2-1. Hitmen got 2 more goals in that period including a weak backhand that trickled between the pads of Plante to clinch the deal. Even after the 3rd goal the Hitmen kept the pressure on Brandon. The Hitmen did not sit back at all and kept the pressure on pretty much the whole game even with the lead. The only negative was the PP. They had two 5-3 chances but couldn't score on the PP or even get too many chances.

Hitmen definitely deserved the win and look like a team that has 'IT' as Rob Kerr likes to say but it only gets harder.

Looked like it went right off of Plante and in. He wasnt covering the post well at all, and McMillan just found a hole. That was the goal that killed Brandon, I think. They had all of the momentum after killing our 2 minute five on three, then got that weak goal to come out of a period they were dominated in up by a goal. They pretty much shook off Dupont's goal, which was a great rush, but that second one killed the Wheaties.

Mercer's feed to Covington for the 3-1 goal was a thing of beauty, as was his shot.
