Man! I go in there yesterday and I saddle up to the counter, order my coffee and the girl got this look on her face (not the first time) like she just hates her life. I am friendly, pleasant, say my please and thank yous and NOTHING. Not even a thank you, not an acknowledgement that I existed, NOTHING. Just hands my change back and stares off to the left....Awful!
Maybe the Manager there is a complete you know what....

That's amazing, because some of the girls at the Starbucks at Country Hills/Edgemont are incredibly flirty.

sushi ichiban on Mcleod Trail S.
some years ago me and a group of friends decided to go there for a dinner party, we had roughly about 15 people there, we waited forever for our water, food was mediocroe and the most ridiculous thing is at the end....
when we got the bill it was roughly around 350 to 400, it's alright, considering we had a lot of people going and whatnot. I decided to put it on my credit card, and pay the tips in cash and leaving them on table. (and we tipped 50~60 bucks IIRC), so by doing that, i rounded up the number on my credit card slip when i sign, so it looks like there might be only 2 or 3 bucks tip on the slip but the big fat cash was lying on the table.
the waitress took my signed slip, walked toward the counter for couple of steps and turn back to our table, inpolitely said "WHO SAYS YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY TIPS?"
and after she pi**ed off the whole table, yes, we still left our tips on the table, because as we were leaving, she got someone to stand next to the booth making sure the tips are still on the table!
what a joke.
then i never went there ever again.

Just because she got someone to stand there would have been reason enough for me to take the tips off the table.
Or better yet, report my card stolen and decline the charges.

holy crap you are nice.
anyways I used to work at a resturant, similiar thing happened. big party came in for dinner, had a few mess ups and the waitress who was waiting on the table was being dumb and slow as usual. ( I don't even know why she go the table anyways) I'm pretty sure things were bad because it took em 30 minutes just to get the orders in to the kitchen. but after dinner was done, I'm assumming these guys just felt like they 'needed' to tip her and left ..what was it i think it was 50 dollars on a 250 bill, my memory isn't too great atm but it was something around that.
they left the tip under neath a plate. (knowing if you cleaned up the table and all, you would find the 50 dollars) as they finished paying their meal and getting ready to leave. she gives them attitude.."you know, tipping is allowed" so the guy walks back to the table grabs the 50 infront of her face and pockets it and leaves.
thought it was hilarious. hahaha. serves her right.

Did she learn from the experience?

I miss waitering. You get to meet so many nice and interesting people and the job is so rewarding and you learn so much. Yah right. If you are ever bad, think of Hell as one big restaurant.

Cables sell for $400. Salesperson makes $100 in comission on those.
So if he discounts the TV by $300, his comission on the TV drops to $30. So he can sell you the cables and TV and make $130, or the TV by itself and make $80. The store also makes about the same amount of money from you. That is; until you return the cables. The fact of the matter is; most people don't.

I understand exactly what they are doing. It's just that I don't appreciate the manner in which they sell electronic products in their stores. I'm not interested in haggling over the price of an item and wondering after I left weather I got a fair deal or not. If you're going to discount an item put it on sale and clearly post that price. It's a similar process I hate going through when purchasing a new or used vehicle.

Going back to the OP, I was in Sprague getting some cigarettes and as the debit transaction was going through, I asked for some matches. The woman fumbled around the counter and said "we don't have ...." I cut her off and said they are right beside the green zig zags. Hey, I've been there before. She then asks me if I have a nickle. I told her I'm not going to pay for the matches, they get them for free to promote cigarette brands and waked out. It must be the same lady from the OP. The two that normally work there are really nice. This dumbass is new.

Retailers are not allowed to give out "free" stuff that had cigarette advertising on it. (I guess it could be different in Sprague)

Look the guy can't give away free food just because debit isn't working. If that happened, everybody would just say their debit wasn't working. Do you know how much food fast food places throw out every hour?

Im thinking about adding sportswap to the list of mine.
I went and got my skates sharpened there today.
went to my game tonight, and as soon as i got on the ice i thought that maybe i left my skate guards on. nope. I had no edge! I seriously could not turn or anything in these skates.
I go back to the locker room and there is no concave or whatever at all.
So basically I undress and head home. awesome!
Im going to go raise some tommorow!
