Franchise level #1 overall pick who grew up as a Flames fan too. It would also give the Flames two of the top three scorers from the world juniors.

Obviously, even in last they'd still been to win the draft lottery. This would be a great year for the Flames to get their first top 3 pick. Only issue is that there aren't any good centers on the board until #8-9.

true, but it is what it is. We still have the Vegas pick and our own 2nd right now, and I'd imagine Conroy can add another 1st in a trade. Can always use those picks to draft centers in addition to Reschny and Potter, plus there's the possibility that Conroy can snag a C prospect in a trade.

My dream scenario is using the Vegas pick and additional draft capital to trade up a bit for a center in that ~10 range. If you could get McKenna/Stenberg and then add a Bjorck/Malhotra later on, that would be insane. Problem is that Bjorck and Malhotra might play their way out of their current range.
