I'm not seeing a pace problem with the Flames, I'm seeing an execution and structure problem.

Talent as well. This team needs to out-work every night.

Leading 21-13 in shots. Losing 4-0 in goals.

Some games you just don't have 'it'. Tonight is one of those nights. Saw a lot of these at the beginning of the year.

Not fun to watch but great for the tank.

You can only get him at 15th overall so hopefully we draft there.

I think the Flames are one of the most well structured teams in the league. You can say a lot of things about Huska but he has his guys bought into the details defensively most nights.

77% of the time, an NHL team with league-average shooting talent wins this game with the way it had played out (so far). Tonight, the team on the 23% side currently has a 99.939% chance of winning.

One-offs now and then are forgettable, and disappear in the data over the course of numerous games. However tonight's game very much matches the data of Flames' current season on the whole. I would even go on a limb to suggest that the seasons that don't match up this are the ones that are few and far between (at least in recent times).

Are we still worried about tanking?

Kelly had to cram in one more compliment to the opposing team before the intermission.

I don't remember him being this bad last season.

I hope we can aspire to the success the 15th picking Red Wings have had in the last decade since drafting him and avoiding tanking !

Like a better, less mistake-prone, version of Bean. I liked him whenever he had the puck, but haven't noticed him too much.
