Strongly disagree. I'd rather focus more on his stats, personal accomplishments, and overall performance at all levels of his career thus far vs a run of poor form (I don't actually think he's been bad at all this season FYI).

Not only does that happen to all elite goalies but with a still relatively inexperienced goalie like Wolfie he's played enough NHL games that shooters have learned his tendencies, he's probably learned the tendencies of some shooters, but also is still probably learning tendencies of other players. He's still very young as a starting goaltender, growing pains are expected.

No need to worry about Wolf IMO.

That was a decade of a rebuild where they actually got stuck without enough elite talent because they werent bottoming out.

They missed the playoffs 11 out of 12 years from 2007-2018 with one run to the conference finals mixed in.

You could argue it actually took a lot of luck finding Slavin in round 4 in 2012 or Aho in round 2 in 2015 to even get out of the rebuild

You can't really plan a rebuild with the basis be find superstars in round 2-4 - Every team would just do that then !

So if the plan is to miss playoffs for 11 of 12 seasons, to build a team that has won ONE game pass the 2nd round in the last 19 years I guess Carolina is the team to emulate!

Not being upset at losses doesn't equal "Buffalo style". We've been taking the same "get in and see what happens" approach for almost as long as I can remember, and the franchise has what, 3 trips past the first round in the last 35 years? Just trust in the process!

Real quick: how many cups has Carolina won in the last 20 years with this approach?

It's funny both 5th ended up on the Flames. We turned them into Frost, Farabee, Brzustewicz , Gridin, Misa, Jamieson, Miromanov, and this year VGK's 1st.
