Best stat of the day was in the Wisconsin upset of Washington. Wisconsin somehow won with 48 yards passing, and their best passer was the punter who threw for 24 yards on a fake punt.

I think it’ll be a fairly straightforward OU up five spots, Bama down five spots.

With similar results if Texas beats Georgia.

I don’t think k OU can jump 5 teams.

They will pass Texas and Bama.

Notre Dame? I’d say yes but will be interesting.

Don’t see them jumping one loss Oregon, Tech or Ole Miss.

Ya that’s fair. ND/OU 8/9 and Bama behind them but ahead of BYU.

I don’t see Bama dropping far enough for BYU to get ahead of them. Texas gonna drop a bunch losing big to Georgia and OU now.

I think that’s exactly right.

Feels like the SEC field in the bracket is nearly set. OU and Bama can’t afford to lose again. OU actually has two competitive games left but both at home. Bama has Auburn and a cakewalk.

A&M, Ole Miss and Georgia can all afford another loss.

And conference championship losses aren’t supposed to hurt you.

Notre Dame has 1.
Oregon zero.

Alabama would be out today. But they actually have arguably the easiest path to the SEC championship game of any team so we’ll see.

I think LSU is a more likely landing spot for him although I would love to see him stay at Ole Miss.

#3 is a possibility even if they win the Egg Bowl, depending on whether he stays or goes.

I find the oddest thing about all of this being that I genuinely don't know if Lane Kiffin is even a great coach. Great recruiter? No doubt. Great coach? The evidence there is underwhelming. Kind of feels like he's the poor man's James Franklin.

No way they get dropped with only one loss and a road win against OK. Even if he leaves.

The betting odds favor LSU and it is the more prestigious program but I heard from someone kind of plugged in and he thinks Florida is a foregone conclusion.

I agree it's not likely. But if you agree with the statement that he is the major factor in the team's success and his absence woudl have a significant negative effect then there is precedent for the commitee to do jsut that. They did the very same thing two years ago to Florida State - rightly or wrongly.

That was a four team playoff though, FSU absolutely would have made it in a 12 team if that was the format. Ole Miss would have to get curb stomped to fall out of the playoff.

Exactly. They could drop in the rankings but not all the way out at 11-1.

Even if you think their success is 100% Lane Kiffin they wouldn’t do that.
