Well Canucks held on tonight but they're not inspiring any one.

Dragging out the soap opera with intermittent wins might be the best thing for the Flames locking down a spot.

Kuzmenko looked good tonight. So did Huberdeau.

I don’t think Lomberghini is a 3rd liner though.

Hopefully Bahl is ok. Guessing Bean draws back in tomorrow

After reading the out of town report it’s easy to take for granted how massively epic Rasmus’ troll game was tonight. He punched a legend goalie (in his farewell season), scored a big goal, and then did the stare down to fans on their own hockey day. I hope he signs a long term team friendly deal and wins a cup with the Flames. If it happens he’ll get his own bronze statue outside of the arena if all this swagger contributes to a championship.

Not to beat a dead horse but Pospisil gets 5 and a 3 game suspension for the hit on Dunn which was IMO identical to the hit on Bahl

how that was a 2 min penalty is beyond me...same as any old hook or slash I guess

I was wondering about that one. I was thinking I didn’t hear that they called kuznetsov up. Then I figured it out. He went on quite a while messing that one up.

Not saying it couldn't be someone from the Wranglers, like Solovyov or Poirier. But they need someone.

(Apparently Kuznetsov had 3 pts tonight!)
I think their D fill ins are on the Wranglers. If he brings in anyone to help in the playoffs it will be a forward.

Exciting game to watch, wasn't as close as the score made it seem. Didn't feel like a game that Wolf stole, for a change. Feels like the rest of the teams confidence in Wolf is giving them the freedom to push forward, rather than sitting back and defending.

In saying that, the Flames did a grest job of clogging up the space, stopping the Min skilled guys from getting too much going. Loved the husstle for Pelts at the end to negate the icing.

How the hell that hit on Bahl was only 2 minutes is beyond me. You blow the whistle, call it a 5 minute major, the first decision should be the right one. You don't go and check the replay and come back with 'oh it wasn't that bad', that's the type of hit we are supposed to be getting out of the game. Commentry team spouting off how experienced the refs are, give me a break.

Is Kuzmenko heating up, I hope so. That wrap around was a beauty and getting a goal back so fast really took the crowd back out of the game after Min scored.

Fun times

Flames also still have Weagar and will be holding onto Panther's #1 pick this year
