I want a rebuilding coach to teach the team to play a better system that whatever insanity Huska preaches in the neutral zone. It's just plain bad.

Okay sure and you continuously reminding us about how bad it is isn’t going to change a damn thing.

I know Huska probably doesnt know it 100 percent, but he wont be the coach next time we make the playoffs.
Play a fun brand of hockey.

They're a bad team that will lose a lot of games this year. Don't let it get to you. This is only Year One. It could get worse in the next year or two. From what I've seen the biggest issues this season center around all the vets. The kids look great. So whatever Huska is doing with them is working.

Yeah, defensively it's definitely not in the upper echelon of NHL teams. I attribute the goals against to the two goalies being positive in goals saved above expected.
Even developmentally, can you say he's been excellent when Zary and Coronato are getting shelved for PPs in overtime? Don't know what he's thinking there.
If the goalies aren't playing as well as they are most people are probably going after Huska next.
I'm not saying Huska isn't good. I just don't think the he stands out among his peers in any significant way. But he's fine for the stage the Flames are in.... he just needs to lean on his youngsters in key situations more.

If I was huska I would form two forward lines of defensemen and send Sharongovich, huberdeau, kadri, pospisil, kuzmenko and coleman back to play D.

No doubt in my mind, Varlamov is getting a shutout 100%.

Will be very interesting if they somehow find offense finally in the 3rd which has been their best period this season in any case.
It's so odd, the puck just seems to bounce all over the place at the Dome, makes it tricky for the Flames and visiting teams to maintain any real possesion for any great length of time let alone complete crisp passes.

I apologize for my insanity.
I talked about being defensively stout in terms of high danger chances against. Per Natural Stat Trick, the Flames have given up the 9th fewest high danger chances against, with 143. But 4 of the teams ahead of them, have played 1 fewer game. So, I’d say the numbers suggest they give up an above average amount of volume but a low amount of quality. That’s good for the goalies, and that’s defensively stout from my perspective.
I guess my opinion could be changed if Kevin Woodley says the Flames play a style that’s difficult for the goalies.

Huska hockey is absolutely brutal at puck management and even defensively responsible players like Coleman and Backlund are making stupid plays that come back to bite us.
Get a proper coach for the rebuild who will get them playing a winning system.
We all expect them to lose, but I don't want them to lose while making stupid decisions all over the ice.

100%. Conroy needs to work on finding better vets. The kids are starting to carry the team. So why the hell are we playing the vets?

He looks pretty comfortable and I'm not sure the Flames have made him break a sweat tonight. Mostly one and done chances and a good number wide/high.

We have seen this team suddenly hit a gear in the 3rd though many nights. Plus the frog just got up. We have hope.

Everything you describe is a player issue, not coaching. Which I would agree with. A ton of brain cramps/bad decisions this season by the vets on this team. The players can be a lot better.
