Bit of a Nostradamus call here.
But I think Wolfs Achilles heel is going to be shootouts the next few seasons. Just until he builds the book up on all the shooters, then there won't be any Achilles heels

Wolf being interviewed last night said he prides himself on pregame shootout scouting

Wolf will probably need to come out another 6-12 inches in his crease to eliminate those over the shoulder shots one on one and rely on his athleticism to react to a deke move, if he wants to continue to have success in the shootout at his size.

I think he can handle it!

What a start to the season by Andersson and Weegar. If Conroy chooses to trade Andersson we could get an absolute HAUL. Another stare down after his goal tonight too, guy is a beauty.

Makes me want to keep him.. but the return is just so tantalizing to think about. Fascinated to see what Craig does with trades this season and next.

The Flames were badly outplayed for parts of that game, it gave me a sense of what the season may really be like.

Spoiler!
Pens played like crap the game before, they came out flat, I'm sure their coach read them the riot act in the first intermission so they came out blazing for the second. By the third period they looked tired and disinterested.

Dustin Wolf is 7-0-0 in his last 7 starts as a Flame.

After the first 3 shots and Crosby hitting the post in the shootout, I thought the Wolf would never make a save. The wolf then turned into a werewolf after that.

The Flames Goaltending has been incredible! They are 6th league wide in goals against.

Missed the game; another Win!
Wolf is the real deal and a tank buster.

The character of this group is very strong. Will be interesting to see how they handle a couple losses in a row when that eventually comes.
Whether they keep believing or come down a peg & stay there.

Not an easy schedule over the next 12 days.

Carolina
Winnipeg
@Vegas
@Utah
Devils
Oilers

Hopefully they can keep up the immaculate vibes but this is going to be a tough stretch.

If we get to the Winnipeg game with both teams undefeated (in reg); that would be something.

The last two games (3 out of 4 points) feel like the type of games where you get production but they are actually the start of a 3 game losing streak. They can be happy with the points, but they have to get those feet moving again.

I definitely thought the Flames had a bit of a easy schedule to start the year.
