What a fall for Yamamoto. From a 20 goal 40 point man at 23 making $3M to begging for a job with the Utah no names. Who already have Keller, Schmaltz, Crouse, Macelli and Guenther as wingers.

He didn't all him a loser, just said "what a fall". I agree, I thought he was going to turn into a solid second line guy at minimum. I'm sure he'll still have a great life, I mean at least he isn't in edmonton!

Looking at Utah, he's good enough to make their team, if his contract expectations are realistic. I suppose if they play him enough preseason, other teams might get interested. Who does Utah play?
Can players bargain for a minimum number of preseason games with their PTO?

The Rangers are rumoured to be signing Madison Bowey to a PTO. He is 29 and spent last season in the KHL between 3 different teams. Before that, he was in the AHL for a couple of years.

He was a pretty good prospect back in the day and seemed to be tracking well at one point.

One of those classic great tools, but no toolbox type of players. He has zero chance of making a blueline as good as the Rangers.

Quite a fall there, too (Note: not calling him a loser).
Played 157 games between 2012-13 and 2019-2020, but was absolutely terrible in 19 and 20. Only 12 NHL games since, and his AHL stats up and down too.

Bowey's toolbox is fine, his biggest problem is he's made of glass.

I used to be a pretty big fan of Matt Martin and the style he plays. His hits were relentless, he was always a ball of hurt out there.
Hopefully this new iteration of the Flames will have a couple of those types of players. Like Ferland, and Bennett were. Right now it's all on Pospisil, and short term on Lomberg.

I'd like to see him hit the 1000. Never more than 10 goals, and that only once. Never hit 20 points; his highest is 19. Hasn't topped 70 PIMs in the last seven seasons. Just a 4th-line go who goes and hits people, and at their peak, his line with Cizikas and Clutterbuck was a lot of fun.

You hope guys like Lipinski, Bell, and Battaglia who have some skill but are also quite big can add a bit more physicallity to their games for sure which would help in this prospect pool.
