Does Basha play on a line with McKenna? Has Lindstrom still not played? Would be cool to see them as a line at the WJC.

Basha plays on PP1 with McKenna but they are on different lines. Basha also plays the PK.

Lindstrom has not played yet, but rumors are he may be returning to Med Hat in the next few weeks as long as he has no set backs. Just rumors though.

Lindstrom is tentatively expected to remain in Columbus until mid-November after the Blue Jackets return from a West Coast trip. The goal is to make sure Lindstrom’s back is fully recovered by utilizing the Blue Jackets’ NHL training staff and facilities.

“We’re going to get to a point, probably, when we get back from that West Coast trip where we’ll need to make a decision about sending him back to juniors,” Waddell said. “The junior team agrees. They travel so much, so they don’t have the rehab (ability) we have. It’s best to keep him here until he’s ready to go.”

Once Lindstrom is cleared, he’ll return to practice with Medicine Hat prior to rejoining the Tigers’ lineup. Waddell said back surgery isn’t necessary and that contract discussions will pick up after his rehab is complete.

Nov.8th:

The Battman was named 3rd star with a goal, and was even, in a 2-1 win over Oshawa. He is tied for 5th in scoring in the OHL with 18gp/13g/13a/26pts,-1, 12 PIM.

The 67's whip the Steelheads, 5-1, with Mews taking first star honors with 4 assists, and +1. He moves into a tie for 4th in scoring by D, with 16gp/2g/16a/18pts,-3, 16 PIM.

In that same contest, Misa is held to zeroes. 15gp/7g/8a/15pts,+8, 2 PIM.

Morin gets an assist, and was +1 in a 5-1 victory over Acadie-Bathurst. He is tied for 3rd in scoring by D with 16gp/4g/15a/19pts,+8, 8 PIM.

Gridin gets an assist, and was +1 in a 3-1 win over Gatineau. 15gp/7g/9a/16pts,+4, 11 PIM. I read an article today that said Gridin isn't playing the way he did last season, and that he's coasting, playing with little or no pace, avoiding contact, and not employing the same board game that he did last year. If he played with the same energy and pace as he did in the USHL, instead of sliding by on pure skill, he would be dominating. They say he looks "ordinary".

No points for Basha in a 4-2 loss to Edmonton. 17gp/7g/13a/20pts,-2, 22 PIM.

No points for Jamieson, and +2, in a 8-6 loss to Tri-City. 16gp/3g/4a/7pts,+20, 14 PIM, tied for 1st in the league in plus/minus.

No points for Hurtig, and even, in a 4-3 OT win over Seattle, with 5 for fighting. 16gp/0g/3a/3pts,+6, 7 PIM.

It looks like Basha left the game in the second period.

Hopefully nothing too serious

This kinda feels like a bit of a disappointing start for Parekh? Has anyone been watching him?

I believe he's been working hard to refine his game, and fix his deficiencies- thereby perhaps sacrificing a bit of offense to be a better all-around D. Morin did the same in his D+1.

"Calgary drafted me because of the player I am and the things I can do with the puck, but if they can't trust you or if I can't be trusted to be put on the ice then that's a problem."

Hopefully just working on his all around game. I don't think anyone had Mews ahead of him in scoring a quarter through the season.

Not good news. You'd think after signing his ELC he'd be fired up.

I think they got it a little wrong in the article, in that Gridin had issues at times last year in the USHL with sticking to the perimeter too much at times. It's not like he's an inside-driven power-forward or anything, that's just not his game- but you have to get your nose dirty, you have to win 50/50 battles somehow, and you have to sometimes go the middle-third of the ice to create offense in the pros.

Hope he figures it out, because he does have supernatural skill.

Hopefully someone watching Parekh on the regular can chime in, but Parekh taking a step back on the stat sheet isn't unexpected.

Saginaw went from a memorial cup-winning all-star team with 11 drafted players (including Parekh) to a much younger, much less talent team. Parekh doesn't have Dionicio and Donovan helping carry the load anymore, and he is "the guy" on Saginaw's defense now.

If he doesn't get traded, it should be a good learning year for Parekh to get the experience of being the defacto #1D and all-situations backbone of a defense (like Yakemchuk on the Hitmen)

Is it possible for Gridin to be traded from the Q to the Whl Hitmen? I bet that would perk him up.

Pretty shocking a 7th round 208th overall pick not getting an NHL contract.
