No one in Calgary can beat my pork ribs. I honed in on my rub and skills for YEARS in the over, then bought a Traeger. Tried then 4 times on the traeger and gave up. They were 10x better in the oven than anything you could do on a smoker.

I’m
The only person on earth who hates that smoke flavour. These would be good without the taste that they were in the car with my mom in the 80’s hotboxing us with continuous darts.

Hey, I got a smoke! Just great. Now I’m gonna have to choke down some of the gross overly smoked cancer meat.

BBQ salmon. Marinated in equal parts maple syrup, soy sauce, and then a shot of whisky. Then topped with chopped parsley, chives, and garlic. Slow grilled.

Actually salmon is good. Because it tastes better than its no smoked self, unlike every carnivorous meat.

My 2 dishes that I call my own and pretty sure I rock at are:

1. Double seared sous vide French dip
2. Overnight braised short ribs.

Stumbled on these and tweaked them to my liking. My family always ask for it when they come to town.
