Except I didn't so why misportray what I actually said?
Canuck fans and management were overly concerned about Tanev's inability to stay in the lineup, 4 years later Tanev has shown that those concerns were misguided.
But since you took the time to go over my posting history, why not comment on some other posts I made at the time to see how they've aged?

Vancouver's playoff chances are slim to none...

Indeed. So given that you were wrong, have you stopped to think about whether some of your takes are misguided?
Especially given the clear & consistent bias slanted against former Canucks that have become Flames property. Doesn't seem like you see things objectively. Just the way of a jilted lover who tries to logic themselves into reasons why those players won't work out.

I thought you said you had never posted about Tanev.
Plus, you clearly didn’t look hard enough. My posting history is full of bangers. Like when I dunked you into oblivion for internet points.

The Calgary Flames’ pool is defined by its quantity of B-plus prospects, which runs arguably 9-10 deep (a couple more than any other team so far and comparable to several of the teams in front of them, for sure) thanks to a good 2023 draft, strong results in the late-first round, a find in the seventh round, and the acquisition of Hunter Brzustewicz from the Vancouver Canucks. They’re missing a true star prospect, but they’ve built a strong pool and there should be multiple solid NHLers coming.
They’ve done it without drafting in the top 10, too (their highest pick in the five classes that make up this list was No. 13). I thought about ranking them a little higher and this pool is better than your typical 15th-ranked team in the countdown.
Brzustewicz comes in at 5, Jurmo at 14. His rankings:

I agree but adding 1 high end prospect would make this prospect pool top 5ish in a hurry. Conroy likely will have that kind of prospect pool after the 2024 draft.
Those are some kind words about the quantity of good prospects. If you believe that, should make Conroy more confident in making spots available. They won't all make it, but there should be competition.

Totally. And this is the kind of prospect mix where adding 1-2 elite young players could easily push this team back into a competitive window within 3 years.

a little surprised not to see Kuznetzov (I think meets eligibility criteria) even in the 18 deep list? he has warts for sure but not sure if that is just an indictment of him or kudos to the depth. I think I'd have him ahead of at least a few of the named players
Seems like the flames had a really solid 2023 draft. Suniev in particular I think could turn into a real stud A- level prospect if he keeps developing, being the 2nd best forward on a big NCAA program in his 18/19 year old season with his size and skillset, I don't want to jinx him but for me he could be trending towards Hobey Baker nominee territory by his junior year if he produces another 6-8 points a year the next two seasons and ends up being a 35-40 pt a year guy which isn't hard to envision.
Will also be interesting to Sergeev own the net at UConn next year... guy just seems to step up every season, it's a bit of a shame that Haider transferred in there this year and has been gifted the starter job despite not playing as well as him, but he'll get his chance.
Writeup on Jurmo was great to read as well for those of us not as familiar with him. He seems like he could really add some value as he learns his trade with that skillset and size. Be a great player to get over here under the flames coaching and get him into the ECHL next year to start working on his consistency.

For me with Honzek's size and skillset he has a real high potential ceiling and I understand and like the pick and taking a big shot, he's a potential 2C with his size and the way he protects the puck... but given he hasn't produced at an elite level at CHL yet (possibly due to injuries) he is far from a sure thing and probably needs a longer runway. Just a guess but introductory AHL year next season as a middle six forward getting a taste of powerplay time, following year gets a chance to be one of the main guys there and then comes up in his 21/22 year old season and starts seeing NHL ice. Maybe if he takes a big leap and overproduces in one of those roles it happens sooner or he shocks us all and grabs a spot in camp with the flames having some opportunity down the middle/veterans leaving, behind Backs and Kadri there is a big opportunity.
