And dont tell me the Flames didnt know about this looming over him because thats bull####. So now the Flames would be (again IF true) trying to use Mental Health as a cover for why hes gone. (Philly didnt use the mental health excuse) Oh this must have been so hard on these poor rapists over the last 6 years.

Then trying to use this as a Flames Vs Oilers and why the Oilers should be embarrased? Pull your head out of your ass. This is way bigger then some petty Oilers vs Flames bullspit. Its not funny either.

Again if true.
Only thing I can think is if Dube request a leave under the terms of he CBA specifically for mental health reasons, are the Flames forced to give it to hi? Who knows.

At any rate I'm not getting the sense that when this is all said and done the Flames will have managed this in a way that we look back and and say they did a good job. Hope I'm wrong.

Some of the denials use the word "wrongdoing" which I thought at the time was trying to be cute and relying on the fact the investigation had been closed.

Don't know the CBA well enough to say but they're not forced to put it out in a communication. They could have just said 'He's out on an indefinite leave, we won't be speaking about it.' That's what they did with Kylington initially. The organization made a choice to disclose that it was for mental health reasons.

We don't know that for sure, could be lawyers, personal requests but I doubt the NHL is telling them to take a leave for mental reasons.

Given the reports that 5 guys from the team were involved some are not being honest.

Forementon and McLeod are the only two out of those 4 to be granted a leave of absence by their professional teams.

This will be out in the open soon enough but I wonder if some people we are speculating are witnesses but not involved directly?

I guess what I am saying is none of us know for sure until the report comes out. Although, its hard to not assume that Forementon was at the very least involved.
Some of the guys have lawyer speak. And their statements came out before London reopened the case. So the police investigated in 2018 but then decided to no press charges. So a statement of “I’ve cooperated fully and did not engaged in any wrong doing and have been cleared by police” doesn’t mean he wasn’t one just means he wasn’t charged in 2018 which no one was

Vs

Steenbergen quote:
“I want to make it clear I was not involved in any sexual acts with the complainant nor did I have any interaction with the complainant”
