So much talent, if he can be himself (former self from 2021) and hold it together mentally, this could be a huge win for Shilly on a personal level.

Rooting and cheering for him…

C’mon Shilly!!!

Tanev out, Kylington in is younger. Zadorov out, Kylington in is younger.

No team goes with all rookies. There are always going to be veterans - there's always a range. On this team Huberdeau, Backlund and Weegar are here long term barring some huge move. Then you will have rookies like Zary, Coronato, Pospisil, Pelletier and Honzek, plus whatever D are brought in. In the middle - some guys like Sharangovich, Kylington, Dube, Mangiapane.

You have Kadri and Coleman leaving? And two Kylingtons? I’ll be happy with one.

Long term, I wonder if Dube and Mangiapane will be here.

I don’t get how Shilly coming back impacts the salary cap. He’s been counting against it all along not? He’s never been out on IR it LTIR…

What are you talking about? Kylington has been on LTIR since the first day of the season. He is still on LTIR.

Kadri no. Coleman has a few years left. Point being, it’s not going to happen all at once.

Right now, the Flames total team payroll carries a cap hit of $82,960,166, which includes Kylington, Rooney, and Pelletier.

After the Zadorov trade and Solovyov recall, they are fully cap compliant without using any LTIR space. Because they currently only have 22 players on the active roster (23 maximum), they could activate Kylington at any time without making any additional roster moves.

I like our front office allowing Kylington to work to get back on the saddle in private, wait to clear some cap room, and then let him take a few laps in public.

If he comes back, imagine the dome noise level when he hits the ice.

With Sharangovich, Kylington and Mangiapane the Flames are exhausting their 'Name Bar' Budget.

They might squeak in under the wire because they ditched a 'Z.'

He hasn't played in a long time. It could take a while for him to get back to game speed and even longer to pickup his play where he left off.

Does O.K. qualify for a conditioning stint in the AHL?

Yes, pretty sure Sureloss stated 3 games or 6 days whichever comes first, then their is an opportunity to request longer as an exception that could possibly get granted.

I would think both parties could get on the same page if Oliver is ok mentally.

Why? Why wouldn’t both parties be interested in continuing their professional relationship?

Maybe they would be? I dunno

Would still be better if the player was still under control. Once less question mark to wonder about.

I think it's reasonable to speculate given how his past couple years have been the stability of not moving cities/organizations would be a big factor in his decision. Plus it seems like the treatment of this has been totally top class, and he's bound to feel some gratitude.

Given the zero expectations for this season, I'd be more excited about him being back in the league and watching him work his way into form than I am about the prospect of him playing as well as he was when he last played.

Better, yeah… but it’s something that happens every summer. I didn’t understand what “sucked” about it.

Think that's why Hunt mae the team out of camp, and Zary was the only player available to replace him when they sent him down.
