Personally I really don't disagree in many ways. But the problem is that it is easier - and better - to start with rules tight and loosen them, than to start loosey-goosey and then tighten up.
I'm happiest if ALL the teams and players just STFU and play hockey. Oh...and criticize reffing and Gary, but that goes without saying.
I really don't care what most of their political views are; we have players from numerous different countries and backgrounds not all of which accord with the others.
The NHL made a massive mistake when it decided that "it" should make the rules and it did so...but only for one specific case. They hung themselves like a dead deer doing that and now they look like the idiots they are.
And: good on Fleury! Glad he gave the middle finger to Gary and the Owners.
