Are things really better if they are 2-8 and losing games 4-2?
At least this way they know they are going to have at least one top talent on their team going forward and likely a lot more than that.

Am I allowed to call them average yet??
Sens also suck lol

Oh wow lol, you and Supermatt18 are really willing to go down with the ship. Ok lets see how that goes. They had an off game and now they are a mediocre team.

Dude are you the Panthers police or something lol. What ship?
they were 17th overall last season and have 5 wins in 10 games this season
how can you even argue that they are not average or mediocre?
I'm not even saying they are bad, get a grip and get off my D
Maybe you should be mad at your team for mailing it in and not some guy on a message board for the Calgary Flames. Also go yell at the sportsbooks in Vegas that have them at middling cup odds currently.
This is the OOT and they got their asses kicked by a #### team tonight, I will discuss it all I like

Losing by 10 goals every night isn't as fun as having close games you might win where your players actually score goals
duh

They aren't winning those games, they aren't going to be in close games. Being the worst team in the league is bad no matter what happens. The delusion that you might win games isn't fun.

I don't know if it really matters for the TEAM, but I specifically stated that I felt sorry for the FANS.
Yes, IMO, watching your team lose a game 2-1 or 4-2 is much better than watching your team lose 10-1. No fan likes to see their team blown out. You can accept, as a fan, that your team sucks and is going to lose. But you still want to enjoy watching the game.

The Flames won tonight didn’t lose.
Loses are loses, SJ having a #### record but slightly less bad results only lets the team and some fans pretend they can miraculously compete.
Much better to know what you are as a team and at least have hope you can turn it around.
This Sharks team has no talent and that doesn’t change if they lose by 2 or 10.

I don’t know why you’re even arguing it right now. They barely made the playoffs last year and, after a fun cinderella run, are behind the playoff pace this year.
Why would anyone need to wiggle? They’re mediocre right now, for sure.

Panthers played like a team in a trap game at the end of a long road trip. They couldn't match the 'Hawks' speed and relentless pressure in the 1st, and Stolarz could have been dinged for 5 goals early, but, gave up 3 goals due to bad and/or lazy D-zone coverage. The Cats tried to claw back in the 2nd, but, got burned on a quick counter attack on a Bedard partial break. The 'Hawks then went into a full collapsing D in the 3rd, and gave up 2 goals to the inevitable pressure, but then were able to spring another too fast youngster, Kurashev, for the ENG. SOG for the game were 40 to 23 for Florida, and FLA had a ton more shot attempts.
Even the FLA announcers admitted that the game was lost in the 1st 10 minutes.
Funny event, Stolarz went Billy Smith, with a slash on Corey Perry, who retaliated. Only Perry got dinged for the PIMs. I don't care that he is wearing our Jersey, I still hate Perry, and he IS a cheap shot artist.

Final scores

There were 3 SHUTOUTS on the OOT. The Kings thrashed the Flyers 5-0 as Talbot made 24 saves, Byfield with 3 assists, and the Kings were perfect on the PK going 4/4. Tortarella must have yelled at his players after that game.
The Canucks beat the Stars 2-0. Both teams were perfect on the PK 3/3 (Canucks, 5/5 Stars). Demko made 27 saves and just loves playing the Stars, he's 7-0-0 against Dallas.
Aiden Hill made 41 saves in the Knights 7-0 win as they smothered the Avs. It's not often to a winning team of that score give up so many shots. Stone scored 2 SHGs and Eichel had 2 goals.
The Capitals get by the BJs 2-1 in reg time. They scored their goals in the 1st period and that was it. No points for Ovechkin.
The Bruins-Red Wings was a good game. Original Six teams going at it and plenty of offense as the Red Wings won 5-4 in reg time. Detroit scored 3 times in the 3rd period. The Bruins were on the PK 8 times and the Red Wings scored 2 PPGs.
