Maybe they're "showcasing" vladar given that they were allegedly looking for a trade.

Waive Vladar, call up Wolf, go "win and you're in" rest of the season with Markstrom. That's a solid goalie strategy.

Hey! They cycled and then got it back to the point for a point shot!
Flames Offensive strategy executed perfectly.

Very hard to watch this league. Flames clearly getting jobbed in an afternoon game nobody is paying attention to.

Flames, as a team, have a hockey IQ of about -3000.

So flamed penalty on a non penalty and a real penalty on a flames player right in front of the ref not called?
Sounds par for the course for a game in Detroit.

This team looks super slow and not hungry t go to the scoring areas. Lots of defensive zone time and turnovers. And this Detroit pp is super dangerous.

He's a glorified 2nd line winger at this point in his career imo

Baffles me that the Flames don’t do that same. As much as it’s a roster problem, it’s not a roster problem. Detroit looks dangerous as hell with friggin’ Sprong lining up for one timers. It’s just good structure.
|
Totally agree. All the effective powerplays essentially run the same way. Why don't the Flames try something similar?
I don't think it's as complicated as they seem to want to make it.

That was a pretty good PK, esp by Vladar. Gotta give a few props there.

Okay, if I can #### on Vladar I can give him credit as well. That last sequence on the PK was pretty fantastic. Saved by Weegar as well.
Now listen boys...don't take any more penalties.

Yikes, glad I’m not watching this one. Hopefully they can come back and at least get a point out of this.

There's a reason we wanted to pry Tanguay away from them.
