My impressions after leaving Pentiction is that there is some to like:

-I would have liked to see a bit more flash from Coronato. I think this might have been a case of trying to do too much.
-Honzek, I think had a couple flashes and I though carried himself pretty well considering his age. Really going to be a player that will be hard to handle when he fills out.
-Morin I think was the biggest surprise for me. I really liked his game and think he is going to be a steal.
-Kuznetsov played lots, but something left me wanting more. I think it may be that he plays small for his size, if that makes sense.
-Durate I thought showed he had a good motor. He jumped out at me a couple times. I know he is just on an ATO for the Wranglers, but always good to cheer for players that put in the effort.
-Lipinski was also a surprise for me. That line with him and Stromgren was hard to handle and I think is a bit of tings to come with the Flames wanting to play heavier with some skill.
-Klapka was Klapka. He tried to do a lot himself, but I think this is the type of tournament where players can be a little more selfish.

Overall, was fun other than the Friday game. It was a pretty young team that was thrown together for the first time. I thought they got better as the days went on.

Thank you to those who are writing write ups on their observations of the prospects.
Nice to see that we still have some pure hockey fans that just love the game.

I really try not to put too much into tournaments like this but there were some standouts.

Klapka was always noticable, big fast and hard on the puck. Very "pro" style game. I was expecting him to be good due to age but he was the best forward throughout the tournament for the flames.

Morin looked great. Will be following his progress and will try and catch his games when I have the chance this year.

Kuznetkov has always given me Tanev vibes and this tournament further solidified that opinion. Right place right time defender who understands space. Nothing flashy or fancy but he is effective.

Coronato wasn't going 100% but you can tell his shot is lethal.

Camp is going to be very interesting this year, lots of players going to be pushing for the two remaining roster spots.

I only watched 20 minutes of the WPG game but Morin seemed very calm and steady with the puck, made smart passes and kept the play live. I liked what I saw out of him in albeit a very small window of time.

Overall, I loved watching the pace these guys were playing with, felt like a group that wanted a win and are prepping for a good camp.
