Got back into town late, just finished the game. What a 2nd half! Why go for it on 4th & 25 deep in your own zone with 3 timeouts left?!?

Kadarius Toney ... woof. Chiefs fans can take solace in the fact that they have Kelce, but if that's your only skill player who can catch a damn ball, it's a problem.

I don't exactly agree with the take but I do agree that the Lions didn't really win because they played up to the level of their opponent. This was a Chiefs L more than a Lions win, IMO. Seemed like there wasn't really any part of their game that was great (maybe you could argue pass defense but also my word those drops), but also there wasn't really anything bad. I mean 3.5 YPC with that O-line isn't exactly a statement game from your new RB corps.

That being said, a fake punt from within your own 20 in the first quarter with the score tied might be the first play to ever register a negative number on the Surrender Index.

Never overreact about opening week results. All these games are essentially preseason and anything can happen. Neither team was sharp last night.

I'm fully prepared to write the season off if the Seahawks lose to the Rams.

This was supposed to be an easy win for KC. More than likely the Lions lose that game if Kelce plays. At the end of the day it is a win and that is all that matters for Detroit. At the end of the season they don't ask how, they ask how many wins do you have.

I do have to admit, I have been a Lions fan since Tecmo Super Bowl 2. There have been a lot, and I mean a lot, of disappointing seasons. Who knows how the rest of the season goes, but last night it was fun to watch. Last two games the Lions have played is what fandom is all about.

It could happen if the Rams are better prepared out of the gates. It happens every year where better teams sometimes just aren't sharp as they need to be in week one or even week two.

One right here. And if you ever watched a Lions road game, you'd see Honolulu blue in the stands everywhere they go. However often accompanied with a bag on head.

Yeah the Chiefs made a ton of mistakes to essentially hand the Lions the opportunity to win that game, and that's the point; the Lions took that opportunity. So often in the past they'd get up big and blow it in the 2nd half or simply fade away in the first. Or find a new spectacular way to lose like they always do in prime time games. Like that Aaron Rodgers hail mary a few years back. Believe me, when it was 4th and 25 I had instant flashbacks to that.

Lions fans are excited for once and for good reason. They're not in the upper echelon of teams and I think most of us get that. But even winning a weak division would be a huge season for this franchise. I'll say by mid-season people will start calling us the most annoying fans in football.

First two videos LOL

Should the Chiefs be concerned?

Is this the beginning of the end of the Dynasty?

Its obvious they can't compete so they should just mail it in. I hear Caleb Williams is good.

The Lions missed the playoffs by a game last year and had a few games earlier in the season where they couldn't take advantage of mistakes. For a lot of teams the difference between winning and losing is not beating yourself and taking advantage of mistakes. So for a team like the Lions winning a game like this would have me excited as a fan. They're not a Superbowl team with Goff, but playoffs would be what I'd hope for, and this is a good step to get there.

Chiefs have a lot of things to clean up in their game. With the Jones situation and now Kelce being out there's a bit of adversity that they'll need to overcome. But coaching staff is pretty proven and these mostly are things that can be corrected.

It looks like TSN has moved NFL Redzone off it's streaming platform that was available if you had a TSN sports package through your cable provider and into it's TSN+ platform which is an additional $8/month. That stinks as I enjoyed watching Redzone.

Bengals start with 5 pass plays out of 6.

The score bug on FOX sucks. It’s massive and distracting.

Saints first play of the season is fumbling away the opening kickoff return deep in their own territory. We're back baby!!

Well, that was certainly a decision by DeMeco Ryans.
