We can hate them, but they don't. Las Vegas, Seattle, Edmonton, and Los Angeles all made the playoffs and the max number of them made the second round. Then the Knights won the Cup. So this weak division argument can die.

Yeah, the Pacific Division is the best division in hockey. It's not debatable.
The Pacific Division houses the Stanley Cup Champions, and that's the only thing that matters.

Chris Tanev and Nikita Zadorov, come on down!
At this point, it really doesn't matter. I figure that the Flames should probably trade Tanev this off-season just in case he gets injured rather than wait until the deadline, even if the prices are likely to be higher by then.

Why would they keep pending UFAs into the season and risk Gaudreau happening all over again? That makes no sense.
Btw Noodles said the tax situation is actually favorable for Huberdeau in Calgary vs. Florida. Go figure.

Even if we have half the AHL team up here next year and as long as Markstrom isn't our starting goalie we will be in the playoff hunt all year.

I'd feel a lot more comfortable about a retool/rebuild if we keep a few reliable vets on D locked down. I think bringing in Wolf and a bunch of young forwards could stay competitive but if they blow up the blueline completely too it could get real ugly. And when the losing gets too bad you get yourselves into a full Oiler situation where you start destroying players developmentally. For me I'd like to see Tanev and Zadorov re-upped stick around for the first couple years if possible if the other 5 UFAs get moved

I didn't say anything about Feaster's rebuild?
I was talking about the differences in the trade situations. (forgot the Bouw had a year left but he wasn't playing well and wasn't on a value contract so it's still not the same.
Feaster didn't rebuild anyway, he did the tear down, Treliving did the vast majority of the rebuild.
