Either way, that's still 2 losses.

I have no interest in the Islanders, so I'm cheering for the Pens and Panthers to make it at this point. I don't like Tkachuk, but at least it would be more interesting to have him in with the Panthers than to have the Islanders in.

Islanders have the caps and Habs left 91
Panthers have the Leafs and Canes left 91
Pens have the Hawks and Jackets left 90

I wouldn't count Tkachuk's chickens just yet they likely have to win both against good teams

It is impressive to watch the Bruins go for the most wins in a season. It is 2-1 Boston heading into the third period. The Devils have a four minute power play and the are showing no panic. The scoring happened in the first period, Zacha with both of Boston's goals.

The Wild are playing hang on as the Blues have come back to make it 4-3 Wild with seven minutes remaining in regulation time. The Wild scored a pair of shorthanded goals twenty seconds apart back in the first period.

Not NHL but Quinnipiac Bobcats upset the Minnesota Golden Gophers 3-2 in OT to win their first national championship.

They tied it late in the 3rd with the goalie pulled and then win 10 seconds into OT.

Fantastic game. I would not call it an upset. Top two teams in the country all year.
Colin Graf scores the tying goal with the goalie pulled, then Quillan scores the game winner off the opening faceoff on a set play. Both Graf and Quillan are UFAs

Yeah just based on the odds going into the final 4 teams they had the lowest odds to win.

Rand Pecknold built the program from scratch when he became coach in 1994 (they were still in Division 2) and a part time high school teacher to make ends meet. Couldn't be happier for the guy tonight.

Post game interview he was trying to fight the tears. Then asked the guy interviewing him for a hug.

My brother's team lost in the semi's to Michigan in 98. He played for UNH from 95-98 and obviously Quinnipiac wasn't around then. Then shortly after to see them do so well is great to see

Have to say I'm glad Boston are looking so amazing this year. I have a feeling it will be just like 2010, with Flames fans relying on the Bs to stop one of our main rivals from winning the cup...

The Avalanche have only nine shots on goal midway through the second period. The Kings have 28 shots and it is 2-2. Arvidsson has just tied on a power play goal that went off the skate of an Avalanche defender.

Nothing changed in the eastern conf. The Hurricanes lost, the Devils and Rangers won, and all are still in a 3 way race for 1st in the div and 2nd place in the eastern conf. The Panthers, Islanders, Penguins, and Sabres also all won and are fighting for 7th and 8th place in the conference (the last 2 playoff spots).

The western conference still has no set teams. The Knights, Avs, Oilers, and Stars keep the battle going for 1st in the conf. The Oilers winning and the Knights losing in the SO helps both teams clinch at least 2nd place in the Pacific Div. The Kings losing and the Kraken winning has both teams clinching at least 4th in the Pacific Div and 7th place in the conference.

The Avs, Stars, and Wild all won and each of them can still get 1st place in the Central Div. That leaves the Jets, Flames, and Predators fighting for 8th place, the final playoff spot.
