Toffoli and Lindholm too...because having our only RH shot finishers on the same line all season makes sense too.
Dube - Lindholm - Huberdeau
Pelletier - Kadri - Toffoli
Mangiapane - Backlund - Coleman
Ritchie - Lewis - Duehr
I'd love to see that even if just for one game.

Tonight Markstrom decides to start playing again, starting a playoff run that comes up one point short and sewers lottery odds.

Too logical. Too obvious.

this is why the the best scenario is probably re-signing Treliving

I think this is Tre's mess, and he should have to be around to try and fix it.

I agree with Sutter. The team's top players haven't shown up enough all season long. The new guys are looking like they'll finish at around 50-60% of what the outgoing stars contributed last year, and Markstrom has never recovered.
Toffoli has been having a good season, but he really can't be the top scorer on a team that's any kind of real threat or even highly competitive.

We can't let Treliving leave if there is a power struggle.
With some of the young guys he has drafted like Zary and Coronato they are smaller but have quickness and motor to play a high pace game. Combine that with Dube and Mangiapane and we have speed in the lineup. Even a guy like Coleman has good wheels as does Kadri.
The reality is the team isn't that bad but they are being coached to play a style that doesn't fit them.
I think Treliving has a vision but something is going on and you can feel the tension.

Lucic staying in the lineup is frustrating for sure. Duehr has done more to deserve it lately.

With more UFA signings and traded draft picks. Has to work eventually.

Duehr has struggled a bit lately though. We've all seen that.

I wonder if he's still a bit rocked from a hit on Saturday. I hope, because if not......

These are comments from Doughty after Sutter was fired. Its pretty telling a team and player would be so vocal to have a coach fired who helped them win 2 cups and a Norris. If what he says is true that he makes it impossible to go talk to him you can probably see why we are struggling.

I mean, it's not surprising that guys like Sutter have a shelf life. I guess we all just thought/hoped it'd be a bit longer.
