I honestly don't think you know anything about actual geography.....
Queen's and Brooklyn are on long Island and are 2 boroughs of NyC but the rest of Long island is not part of NYC and are their own entity completely seperate .
New Jersey isn't even in the state of New York. If your talking greater Newyork Metropolitan you'd have to also include Pennsylvania and Connecticut. The term " greater insert name of city is just for statistical analysis for government branches of commerce.
Toronto is It's own city . The Greater Area of Toronto is consists of many city's together . Again , it is a grouping term for the commerce department.

I had no clue. Gosh...thanks to someone in Nanaimo, I've been awoken to Tri-State area geography. So New Jersey to New York is about the same distance as Ladysmith to Nanaimo? Do I have that about right?

Can I buy some punctuation, capitalization, and contractions? EWR is part of the New York metro. Sorry to tell you about that. It's part of the New York City metro. They have three teams, and Toronto has one.

The New York metro also has a significantly higher population than Toronto. It just so happens to be 3x the size in terms of population with 3x the teams.
Funny, looks like it’s all working out.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

I'd say so; great exploitation of resources for the NHL.
If I had my choice of four teams, I'd put three in New York and one in Toronto. Because, hey, population! That's why Atlanta should have two teams both relocated from Winnipeg and Calgary.
Am I becoming popular yet?

Ok, fine you wanna go that route? Then fine. The Metro area of Newyork covers 4 States with a population of almost 21million people. 3 teams make sense . Toronto metro area as less than 6 million so sure why not just add another team there.. it makes no sense. They don't even have a third of the size of the population.

I have no interest to see a Canuck fan's tattoo. Enjoy nihilism, though. Riot.

Right. And Mexico City has double the population, so let's move the Leafs there, right?
So logical.
