? You mean playoffs with no 3 on 3 OT?

Hint playoff teams will be decided by points...not wins

Do you not remember Montreal in the finals and the Flames missing the playoffs with more wins?

Let’s also see if that .631 holds when not playing San Jose, Anaheim, Vancouver and Chicago. The record over the stretch was fine but that was the soft part of the schedule where they were supposed to get back into division race. Yet they lost ground on that and now they’re going to have to start facing good teams like Dallas and Vegas and others again.

Nope.

They may have lost more games in the shootouts/ot in the "real world", but in the real "real world" they had the opportunity to acquire 84 pts thus far....no more or no less.

They have acquired 47 thus far. Therefor it is literally impossible for them to have lost more games than they have won, as it would require them to have less than 42 points to be true.

Yup.

An OTL is a big fat L.

The point of the game is to score more goals than the opposition. They didn't.

Seattle and LA literally had the 2nd best record in the NHL over that stretch. Under normal circumstances the Flames absolutely would have gained ground.

What do you mean normal circumstances?

Seattle and LA are literally better than Calgary. That’s what the standings show.

Wrong. The point of the RS is to rack up as many points as you can. An OTL still gets you a point. A SO loss still gets you a point.

For some people on CP, it appears so.

Win more games than you lose and the rest takes care of itself.
