Probably also an indicator as to how good of a job the coaching staff has done to have them in a similar position in the standings minus the scoring horsepower. Quite an accomplishment.
Hahaha yeah and remember two or three weeks ago when a bunch of posters were saying Sutter was terrible and needs to go? Funny we haven't seen some of those posters when the team is winning.

And potentially more sustainable without having a top heavy top line.

True but at the same time, they also brought in guys that were 3rd and 19th in the NHL in points last year.
I agree with the broader point you are making, but on paper, they did bring in guys that theoretically could replace a lot of the lost offense.

Had to reach out to Pike to see where he found this ... thanks man!

Compiled the whole league (that's not an easy exercise).

Calgary 4th in posts/bars at 40.

Rangers 44
Panthers 41
Capitals 41
Flames 40
Sabres 39

Hawks 18
Yotes 19
Kings 21
Flyers 21
Stars 23

Just bad luck? Sign of good shooters? Sign of bad shooters?

Personally thinking it's luck and shot volume. But having said that you won't hit a lot of posts from center ice right Jay?

If even 6 of those 40 go in, thats probably 3 more wins. and 4 or 5 more points (assuming some are OTL to Win)

Thats the differnece between a mediocre season and good season so far.

Shows how tight the league is. Lots of good teams. Making the playoffs is an accomplishment

No. He's a thumb. That's the best descriptor for him I've ever heard (from Memphusk)
