Tell me when Kadri was on the Habs

The fact our over-rated GM mismanaged his cap so bad he had to unload the 1st with Monny doesn't mean that Kadri is part of the trade.

Reality is the Habs FLEECED the Flames over these 2 trades. If anyone is a wizard it's Kent Hughes

Oilers did worse and got an easier playoff matchup in round one

Getting a double minor 30 seconds into OT is such a Flames thing to do. They killed it off, but it cost them a chance to play in the Habs zone for almost all of OT. They keep shooting themselves in the foot.

The thing that sucks is that in the past, December has typically been a strong month for this team. I was kind of counting on it this time make up some ground.

Obviously no Lindholm or Weegar tonight was a major factor though.

Including in OT. Skews the numbers.

Team is so frustrating. So great on paper, so not on the ice. Hope Tanev is ok.

Fine then include the cap space in your "evaluation"

#### there's some dumb stuff being posted tonight.

Congratulations to Markstrom for playing well enough to stave off a bump of the “Too early to panic about Markstrom” thread… FOR NOW

Which team other than LA has finished at the bottom of the playoff bracket and won?

You get a one off once in a while you go deep but it's not the norm. You need home ice.

29 games in and Flames have only played their conference 10 times winning 7 of them.

Good news is the next 10 will be against their conference so hoping for another 7-3 record or better.

Just trying to bring some positives.

They need to play at a .622 pace the rest of the way to get to 97 pts. Thats about a 103 pt pace over the season. Not insurmountable but that number is getting high and not much about this team has told me they can get there.

I don’t have the vitriol for Toffoli like some here but his foot speed just isn’t good enough for the top line. I just wish Sutter would slot Phillips in there for a whole game and give the line some better zone starts and just see what happens. Huberdeau needs better passing targets.

And this year all players visibly slower that last year. I guess Sutter loosened his rule? Something not working well for these guys. And how many games Toffoli hit post or cross bars? Is he unlucky or something else?

Lots of team have won in a 2/3 divisional spot...which is where the Flames likely end up

Flames are four points back of a home ice spot in the first round.

Four. Not fourteen. Four.

Playoff pace isn't that high...Flames are 4 points back of a divisional spot with 2 in hand
