Something like this?
I think the white outline will have to be a bit thicker.

Funny reading some of the remarks, so many miss the mark on the ranching/western theme. It is not about the stampede...lol and it is not agriculture and free land. It really comes from what made the city successful in the first place, what started to set it apart during it's growth that made it different from similar centers? Calgary had 2000 more people in 1900/01 than Lethbridge (Lethbridge (pop: 2071) was similar to Edmonton (pop:2626) at the time) by 1906 this was a 10,000 difference, and 35,000 by 1911. They both were similar in a lot of ways, but it was the prevalence of ranching and getting cattle and meat to other markets via rail that spurred the growth of the city, faster than any other city in the province.

Where will these games be played? This will be popular hockey in Calgary! I watched the Stockton Heat playoffs and noone came to their games!

I still chuckle when I think about the fact that Darryl traded his own son. Must have been awkward lol.

There was a rumour that Flame season tickets holders would be able to get their seats for the Wranglers games at quite a discount. Although I have not heard that officially yet.

I has suspicions Brett Sutter might end up on the farm team.
Chechelev on another minor league deal. Likely going wherever the ECHL team is.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up part of the coaching staff when he retires from playing.

With the Wranglers playing at the Saddledome, it also gives Chris another chance to watch his brother play all the time.

If the Wranglers do have a different jersey design than the Flames, I hope they don't go with vertical shoulder stripes. I've always hated that look (reminds me of too many awful teams like the Leafs and Jets in the 80s and the Flames in the 90s).
Something that would be interesting is the chevron stripes from the Flames' early 2000s look. We've never seen a version without black on it.
Also, I don't mind the look of the logo on a red jersey without a white border. Although, based on how they've used the logo so far, I expect it will have the white border.

I wonder if Valimaki will say hi to Brett if they run into each other in the hallway?

Great interview with Brad Pascal this afternoon on the fan. Sounds like they're pretty excited to be up here now .
I'm looking forward to seeing a push from our now close affiliate players . Man we have some exciting players up and coming .
Brad was pretty complimentary about Pelletier and how quickly he transitioned to pro hockey. Said after 2 games he had figured it out pretty much.
Also listening about Dustin Wolf makes it more exciting....I love hearing about great potential goalies .
I'm excited to see the team here and Mitch Love is great coach obviously.

Brett Sutter was drafted in the sixth round in 2005 by Calgary. Even played a few games with us in the late 2000s. Very cool to see him come back for the last stretch of his career.
