A lot to unpack here, but I hope is that this person who received the $75k was able to convert that into a happy and sustainable lifestyle as an adult, and didn't go down a regretful path. At the end of the day, these laws exist to protect the long term mental health of vulnerable and impressionable people, and we can only hope that those things were and will not be impacted negatively.

I really suggest people read the articles. The girl in question (Sage Humphries) is a ballerina, part of the Boston Ballet, and is suing (alongside other young women) a dance instructor and his wife for sexual abuse, including sex trafficking and some pretty heinous stuff all around.

The couple has counter-sued, claiming the girl’s mother was prostituting her to rich men, including Katz, and that their relationship was actually consensual. The attorney for the couple has been disciplined multiple times in multiple states and previously defended Alex Jones and neo nazis.

It’s worth noting Katz’ lawyer is not the only one who denies the claims, but the lawyer representing Humphries and the other girls also dismissed the counter suit as largely false, though that’s probably more related to accusations of Humphries’ mother prostituting her out.

Crap, I hate social media when it's pieces of info that you need to click through and can get confusing. However, according to CBC's news article, it seems Sage Humphrey was fully in consent and at age 17 doing business with the billionaire. She got the money and spent it. Now, she's suing. What's ####ed up about all this is the ballet company and Humphrey's parents agreeing to all of this. The Buttons are like the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in underage sex trafficking.

Anyway, seems like all rich a-holes can buy just about anything until they get caught.

Considering the texts screenshots came from the couple she’s suing for sexual abuse, it would be tough to call them 100% legit.

I imagine they are, considering the couple made the girl surrender her phone while they imprisoned her and sexually abused her, but the exact context of them could be in question.
