Wonder where Kadri ends up. Maybe Colorado is trying to find a way to keep him.

The two names still available that interest me are Kadri and Niederreiter

Have to think when they’re able they will try to flip Monahan for some sort of pick once he has some games under his belt. If we can flip Lucic still this off-season we can still make some additions but as it sits right now we have to deal with the RFA’s before we can add. It would be really nice if the RFA’s/Tkachuk didn’t drag out for the next 1 to 2 months lol.

Both are off the books next offseason.

I get that but you have to think the Flames are going to try and be as competitive as they can. 11 mill off the books in Lucic Monahan is a lot of flexibility for this year and moving forward. We shall see what’s the direction hopefully shortly, this whole off-season has been hurry up and wait.

They've been trying to trade Monahan for years, why stop now. And Lucic seems they're trying to trade him too, and rumor I heard (either here or twitter or reddit, it all blends together) is that he felt hurt about the trade rumors and didn't participate in the Stampede parade as a result

Was at the parade, would say the Flames were in desperation mode to find players to ride. Only current player was Stone, followed by a few alumni, none overly prominent.

Dylan Strome
Calle Jarnkrok
Victor Rask
Nino Nieds

He got a bad reputation from some fans for the lack of offence, but I’d love Jarnkrok back. Great defensive forward. Perfect 4th liner.

Have there been any rumours of Kadri receiving contract offers or teams interested? Seems to be pretty quiet on his front seeing he was one of the big fish UFA's.

Are you going to pay a 4th liner, $3M? He is unlikely to take less than that after getting 30pts in 62GP, while being good defensively. If he resigns with the Flames it's as a 3rd line C/RW.

He’s looking at getting $3mil? How do you know this? He could very much want to stay in Calgary. Especially with his cousin and fellow Swedes here.

No, it's not atrocious... It's still a playoff team but not one that I'd wager any money on to win the Cup.

That’s the nice part about him, he can play up the lineup a bit. I think he’s more suited to RW than C, but I’d be super happy with him at $2M. Getting him at $3M is probably a little rich for what he brings but I don’t see him getting that long term. If he does, good for him.

I think he had a bad look here in a limited role trade deadline acquisition but the guy should be good for 20/20 40pts and is a great defensive minded centre who’s good at draws.

Hopefully the cousin/Swede angle would allow for a discount.

I don’t know he’s looking at $3M. I’m just guesstimating, and in my opinion $3M is on the low end. I would be very surprised if he gets less than that based on production and defensive play.
