Agreed.

And honestly, as much as his defensive game needs work and is mocked the guys offensive talent is off the charts. Pair him with a Tanev like defensive veteran and you're laughing.

The guy was skating circles around people, puck control and hands are as good as any forward prospect we have.

To add, people said the same thing about Tony DeAngelo and look what he did.
It's okay to have offensive defensemen who maybe aren't that great in their own end so long as they can pair up with someone who can cover for them.

I was at the scrimmage and, IMO, he was the only skater who stood out offensive skill-wise. He really upped it beginning with the first shift after they flooded the ice.
