If they were grooming Marek to take over from Ron, they wouldn't have promoted Caroline Cameron to national game host.

God I love the Flames but the worst thing about this fan base is the Oilers insecurity. You all get so hurt by the TV personalities talking about the Oilers stars and can't go a day in here without talking about why you think McDavid is overrated as copium

Nah. We just wish that during the Stanley Cup finals they could discuss the two teams vying for it rather than a team or players from that team that got swept the last round. It's not like they are talking about the Leafs or Matthews who is the odds on favorite to win the Hart trophy. There's clearly a lot of Oilers bias going on there and the reality is that the rest of the country isn't tuning in to hear about the Oilers or McDavid. Fortunately that should change at the conclusion of the season when Rogers cust bait with some of these clowns.

I couldn't agree more, I've never really listened to Singh until I watched the Rangers Lightning series and I thought he was awful. I missed the opening of game 1 so I had to look up who was doing the play by play, this was before I knew it was him. He needs to get off play by play.

I do think Singh has potential. Gord Miller was not every good initially when he started doing PBP nor was Dave Randorf. I think Singh is actually better than both of them at the same stage of their careers.

What a singularly awful comparison.

First of all, comparing Ron, a lame over paid rambling host to three hall of fame game callers? This is like comparing a rotten Orange to a car.

At worst and I love Ed, but the only comparable is like Ron, Ed tended to ramble a bit.

From a hockey knowledge standpoint, Ron literally brings nothing to the game beyond the whole "I was a ref you know" yeah a lousy ref.

Ron's ramblings, his clear bias, they could literally get a sock puppet to do his job, and that sock puppet would be way better then Ron.

Fire him, send him off to write his memoirs that nobody will read where he can lie about his character and his importance to the game.
