I'd be shocked if they don't dress 7D. No way you can count on Tanev to log 20+ minutes given what we saw last game.

Yep. Tanev is showing even if he is extended to retire as a Flame that his positional hockey will keep him from being a liability as he ages.

Super sub Stone had to go back into the garage to recharge his super sub batteries. They looked a little low.

How Tanev can come in to relieve him and play like he did with a busted shoulder is beyond the scope of my understanding. If that's not a rally point what is.

He didn't say those words, he said Edmonton has played a little bit better, not they are better.

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
Sutter, 2 of 2: “Maybe our guys are doing all that they can. Maybe Edmonton’s just a little bit better right now. That’s kind of been on the sideline. Nobody has talked about that. It’s always been about the negative. What about the good stuff that is going on?”

Sutter is trying to motivate but he makes a good point...Gaudreau and Tkachuk are over 100 point pace this series, can't expect them to be McDavid. I know other Oilers are getting points but lets be real...McDavid makes everything happen on that team.

Goal, D, and Depth are the advantages the Flames should have and so far all three have not been anywhere near their best...Sutter did specify "right now"

Having your top defensive dman not playing and then playing with one arm is pretty massive...barely gets mentioned by the fanboy panel.

I don’t care about the team’s historical record with never coming back from a 3-1 deficit. Yeah it’s hard to do, but THIS team can do it. All that is ancient history, and now is the time for these players to step up and write their own story. I just want them to play hard, play their own game and to hell with the oilers and McDingus and whatever they’re trying to do. Edmonton is a #### franchise that was gifted a generational talent and has managed to catch lightning in a bottle for a few games. They’re not a good team, and this series is still winnable if the Flames can get out of their own heads and just take control. It starts tonight.

Go Flames Go.

The Flames are winning tonight. Then I say the winner of Game 6 wins the series, obviously if it's Edmonton. The Oilers just won three in a row and there is no reason whatsoever the Flames can't do the same!

Tkachuk could be better but yeah, it's not really on the top line.
The Hymans & RNHs have found way to score big goals where Mangiapane, Toffoli, Dube, Coleman etc haven't.

Any one of them steps up with 2 or 3 goals this series and we'd at least be split 2-2 right now.

Jesus christ.

This fanbase has no memory whatsoever.

Mangiapane scored a goal in game one, and Blake Coleman scored 2 in that same game. Toffoli scored a goal in game 2. Brett "I got one goal in the regular season" Ritchie has scored 2 goals in this series.

The problem is none of that has come up since the 1st period of game 2, but the secondary scoring has stepped up with 2 or 3 goals in the series.

The problem has been keeping the puck out of the net. They've averaged 5 goals against per game in this series...that's a far cry from how they played all year. Brutal mistakes and defensive breakdowns that were easily exposed by McDavid led us to this point. This is very uncharacteristic of the Flames and is the single biggest reason why I believe this team will win the series. They've finally adapted to Edmonton's attack and will play their game the rest of the way.

We're going to win. My late Dad's watch is undefeated at the dome and I'm going to try to buy some tickets.

If that comment deflates any player then they better not come back next year because they're not good enough.

For the record, I think they are all motivated for tonight and will find a way.

Let's start a 6 game winning streak!

That has been the strategy with McDavid and Draisaitl all year. Both of these guys are going to be burned out and done by age 30.

1-0 Flames in the 4th OT after Smith mishandles behind his net and gives it right to Jarnkrok.

I just hope they have fun.
They should know that their season is probably done, so go out and enjoy the excitement and atmosphere of the dome one last time for the year.
Maybe the results will come, maybe they won't, but in the end, they're playing a game and it's providing for their family.

As a flames fan, if you expect disappointment, you can never be disappointed.

I'd scratch Lewis in favor of Ruzicka or Carpenter, but that wouldn't be a very Sutter thing to do.
