There is so much to love about the Leafs losing.

No Cup since 1967.

No Playoff wins since 2004.

A "national" broadcaster Sportsnet literally livestreams a Leaf fan watching Leaf games. Having Sportsnet darling franchise collapse is simply a joyful experience.

All Toronto based pundits scratching their head how the greatest team ever assembled loses yet again.

Then the fans. They are the worst, along with Oiler fans. I hope they lose every game for the next 100 years.

Happy the Leafs got eliminated. It really looked like they were finally going to break through but the last two games didn’t go their way.

I was pretty close. It was a 3-2 series lead for Toronto that they choked away.

It's sad that the franchise is so predictable.

living in Toronto gives me a soft spot for the Leafs and especially Matthews but then I talk to one of their fans or listen to the media.

Two teams haven't won a playoff series in the salary cap era; Seattle and Toronto.

Those fighting Leaf fans probably moved there from Vancouver (or Surrey).

And that kid peeling of his Bolts jersey - that's a pro move right there. Just as professional as the vacant - and well practiced - stare of the leafs fan to his 7 o'clock.

Damn. Sucks the Leafs lost but that's a tough draw for first round opponent. Series could have gone either way. I think the fan base isn't calling for massive changes like last year.

Lol, wow. How people can take sports that seriously is beyond me. At the end of the day it's just entertainment. Nothing more. I mean, yea, it sucks when your team loses. I get it. But these people need to get a grip.

The Leafs will likely draft a player this year who wasn't born yet when they last won a playoff series.

Matthews is UFA in two seasons. If this core doesn't do anything before Matthews leaves they will look back on that Tavares contract as a total disaster. No way they can get out of that with the NTC and the fact that few teams would take on the remainder of that contract for a declining player.
