Their 22nd Cup of the season. That has to be a record.

That was a nice play by smith.

Sigh. They look playoff bound. The tough stretch to come though.

Lol, of course it's McDoofus with the skills comp winner. And then the entire team pours onto the ice and celebrates like they just won the Cup. F***in' losers.

Oilers have been hot, but it seems like smoke and mirrors. I think a correction is coming.

Bad opponents, OT and shootout wins...all the breaks. They were badly outplayed by the Sharks.

Oilers now 5 up on Vegas with 11 to play. Vegas is pretty much going to have to go 10-1 to have a chance to catch them. Oilers getting the bounces at the right time it would seem.

Yup, it seems like they're getting all the bounces right now, even in games where they're getting outplayed like tonight (and most of their games actually). Sadly this little run they've been on lately will probably get them into the dance. Good news is they won't make it out of round 1.

Their schedule down the stretch is brutal. I'm assuming the correction will happen over these next couple of weeks:

@ Kings
Avs
@ Wild
@ Preds
Knights
Stars
Avs
@ Jackets
@ Pens

Rick and Kelly, then Rick and Millen were on a couple of the Eastern US trips early in the season. I remember Millen being pretty impressed with the Flames in games on Long Island and then in Buffalo.

Don’t believe Rick has done a road Flames game since Omicron hit.

I would suspect it’s all cost cutting from Rogers.

If they don’t travel their crew for the playoffs, that will be quite sad.

The Oilers have beaten one playoff team in regulation since February 26th. That was against Brian Elliot at home a few weeks back. They're the definition of pretenders in my books. I doubt they have ten good wins all year long (rested playoff teams that are playing their starter).

Another day, nothing changes.

Still leaning on OT and SO, gimmicks that don't exist beyond game 82.

McDavid is anywhere between ordinary and useless without extra ice to work with.

Paper tigers.
