Depending on the font on your computer, iPad or iPhone, I’d say they are about 1 inch apart!

If you're going to play even-up all game, then just put the whistles away in the first place. Nobody is there to see the refs. You aren't making the cover of NHL '23. Luckily the game was too good for them to ruin it.
