the old classic "this guy is the worst player ever trade him" idea

wow, why didn't I think of that lol

maybe, just maybe other GMs also know his game has fallen off a cliff and he isn't worth his contract

excuses every game?? Flames win almost every game so there aren't many excuses

LOL. Trade him. Oh simple, then. At least you admit you don’t know what trade is available or who replaces them.

And if that’s all you’ve been watching hockey for, then no, you haven’t watched hockey as long as me, anyway.

Darryl didn't like Vladar's night, which I agree with. He was just kind of in the net, and didn't do anything notable to help the team win. Got beat clean by a number of shooters.
Glove side all 4 goals. Good hard shots but hopefully not a trend.

I didn’t expect the Flames to win tonight but when they were up 2-0 and 3-2 I thought they deserved the win or at least a point. They played well enough to win and 3 games in 4 nights they were tired. This next stretch is going to be a tough one.

Vladar’s game shows talent but also some loose technique. I wonder if he’s a bit resistant to instruction on stuff like that, which would not sit well with DS, whether Vladar is winning or not.

The high danger chances were 12-5 Flames and they lost 5-4

Goalie sucked, Sutter is gonna call a spade a spade I don't think he has anything against Vladar

I think rebound control is what he has to work on the most. Most of his rebounds seem to come out front...not towards the corner.

High danger chance stats are dubious at best unless you believe that the Caps scored on every single one of theirs and that Ovi 5 feet in front of a net with no goaltender in it...isnt a high danger opportunity.

No big deal though....Washington did what they needed to do and the Flames didnt.

56 games in and only 15 of those they didnt secure a point. I just hope they can finish the season at such a pace.

sure, and a big part of that is they had the better goalie on the night

I’m still at a loss on the stat. I know it’s location based but plenty of close in chances are not high danger (some are too close) and what do you want to bet their first goal was from too far out to be called one (and maybe Mantha’s).

He literally said in his comment that he's been watching longer than you, replying directly to your own poorly written comment which was just gloating over how much "experience" you've got.

Instead of arguing and picking fights with everyone lets hear how you cut Monahan loose right now?

"trade him"

Well MAYBE in the summer you could pull it off, right now I highly doubt it. Believe it or not NHL GM's have also seen him play and the salary cap is a thing these days.

Who has 6.4M kicking around for Monahan this year and next? You could sit him for Richardson or Ritchie, he still counts against the cap though and I think he is still likely better than those two.
