A little bump, need help finding a couple of new hot sauces. I've never really been into hot sauce, but I really like the two sauces below. They are a bit harder to get though, and shipping is not cheap.
Any recommendations for locally available sauces that are similar to these ones? Thank you
Totally didn't see this before it fell off the first page, but I wonder if you may want to just aim for blending your own instead.
The first link, I'm not sure of the base flavor, but garlic heavy isn't hard to do. It's a 404 not found error so I don't have a clue if the one you liked was a sweet based hot sauce or a vinegar based one.
The second one sounds a lot like a BBQ sauce infused with a hot sauce. I feel like a gochujang mixed with a Texan BBQ sauce is on the way towards it, but I don't know for sure as I've never tried it. Another option is maybe to blend a molasses type of sweet bbq sauce with spicy banana ketchup? Add a sweet type of hot pepper for spice, one that's devoid or low on capsaicin flavor and higher on sweet fruity flavors (ie: Habanero).
My buddy made a similar sounding sauce from scratch that has a flavor profile similar to that second link. I don't know everything he added, but I recall he said he added star anise and cloves to a habanero based sauce and then fermented it to balance the heat and flavor.

His folks have a timeshare in The Gap and when he goes down he usually grabs it for me.
But he lives on the island and it often takes it's time to find it's way to me.
They make a "hotter" version, it lacks the flavour of this one
What's it taste like/what's the ingredients? I've been meaning to make a hot sauce for a while, but that went sideways as my stomach has not been happy with me eating spicy lately.
The bottle that I was hoping to emulate was one I got on a Carribean cruise a long time ago. I don't recall what was in it, where it was, but I sorta remember the flavor. I knew a few friends who liked it. Basically has a flavor profile of light carrot juice/puree, habanero/pineapple and palm vinegar (of course with a few minor other stuff like spices).
I'd be attempting to emulate the other sauce from scratch, but if this has an ingredient list and the flavor matches, I think I'm close.
If it's close~ish (not identical) to this one, other than the carrot/pepper difference, my guess was basically only off by about 2 ingredients to experiment with.

It is a mustard based sauce with good vinegar undertones
