Reminds me of Charlie Simmer starting every replay analysis with "And again, (...)" as well as ending every analysis with "(...) at that point."

To Be Quite Honest, even some of the best overuse a phrase from time to time

If anyone ever thinks I'm being racist or a misogynist in an article or a comment please call me out.
But a colour person using "if you will" twice in 10 seconds is going to get a laugh and a post about it I don't care the gender, race, height, girth or religious following.

I think in the past there have been some mean spirited things said about her (not by you). But the fact is that I simply don't think she is good at her job. She's far better as an intermission panelist. But the "if you will" thing seemed less mean spirited and more people having fun with an odd verbal tick. I know that's my mindset with it.

For me, that sequence, given the odd timing was clearly shoehorning in McDavid's name as part of the edict and quota Snet personalities seem to have. Name dropping Matthews as well, making sure she appears impartial enough for future studio work.
Just came across as forced. Especially since why not mention Debrincit, who is actually playing in this game and actually has the highest percentage of his team's goals in the league (a graphic they showed earlier) if the counterargument is the Flames scoring by committee?

Wally Buono used to answer press conference questions that way. “Again…”. Which either made no sense because he hadn’t made the same point earlier or was just angry sounding “you are making me repeat myself”.

Feel good win. I'm going to pretend the Flames have the week off and the rest of this roadtrip doesn't exist. Looking forward to our next game & opening the homestand vs. the Sens!

Yeah they had a rough first period.
Would imagine if you had the game score by period it would have improved considerably.

The Panthers are the polar opposite of us.
They're 4-4-4 on the road and gangbusters at home with significantly more GP.
What happens when an unstoppable force (Flames on road) meets an immovable object (Panthers at home)? I guess we'll find out.

I saw Mangiapane on his own a lot in the offensive zone which seemed odd. Maybe their line changes weren’t smooth.

I find him to be quite hit or miss lately, actually. His bias towards goaltenders has always kind of irked me.

He was rightfully pretty hard on Dreidger the other night, which surprised me.
