This whole thing makes no sense. A guy like Frank Seravalli is basically saying Vegas is in the driver's seat and keeps holding that opinion as if he has some kind of inside track on the details, but then a guy like Weekes says this is the package the Flames are offering. If the Flames are indeed offering this package, I don't see any possible way that the Flames are not in the driver's seat over Vegas. Vegas can't offer anything to top the Flames if Tkachuk is in the deal.

Regardless, one of these insiders is completely out of the loop or maybe both of them are

That's a good sized price to pay, but it's worth it in my eyes. You then lock up Mangiapane and Gaudreau long term and we've then got our top two C's and top two LW's locked in place.

I am beginning to think both are out of touch on this, but who really knows unless we/you are in the room when negotiations are happening.
