Can't believe someone said Zadorov is better than Gio.

Zadorov should be eating popcorn most of the year.

Who the hell said that? They should be banned from CP for posting that nonsense.

He was far from the Flames worst player that period...the Kylington/Gudbranson pair is getting destroyed

Maybe the Flames could start “beating” the Jets in some puck races and puck battles. Just a thought.

This is not a Gulutzan or a coaching thing. Players don’t have time out there to think, they react based on their own god given instincts and what they see in front of them.

To me, I see a Flames team that looks slow, tentative and unable to handle the pace of the new NHL. They were always a slower team, but all they did this offseason was decrease team speed and now they can’t even string together basic plays to transition out of their own zone. It’s just a bunch of one and dones and turnover on top of turnover.

This is the first time I’ve went into a season and was truly scared at what the outcome could be.

2-0 already. What's new? Anyway this year's competition for the bottom of standing will be big so I can't see Flames as bottom 10 team. I hope they beat those bad teams and keep around 0.5 with other top teams.

I may be off, but I think I counted one pass that connected by Zadorov. The rest were giveaways.

However, he isn't alone tonight. Almost the entire team seems intent on making poor passes tonight. Lots of battles lost too. I am sure they are getting yelled at now. Let's see how they respond in the 2nd. I am expecting a bit more jump in their game and a bit more physicality.

so many forwards standing still when the puck comes to them, and all they do is chip it out and give it back to Wpg

Is the game actually being streamed on the site or is the "game starting soon" loop just going on repeat forever?

Herein lies another huge problem.

They don’t play fast.

Lol, I was going to say Zadorov has been passing to only the Jets players tonight

Gudbranson’s biggest flaw has to be gap control. A fast forward like Ehlers will eat him alive if they are on the ice together

I think that’s a byproduct of the poor passing from the defense

They aren’t expecting the puck to actually get to them and are standing still because of how many times they have to to change direction from a giveaway

Just my observation
