Only because Canada lost their last game. If they had won it would have just been 3 things

So its true this tourney doesnt register a lot with fans in this country, but i can tell you this, it matters a LOT to Hockey Canada and the players who put that jersey on every year.

Huge stuff for Mangiapane....can gain nothing but confidence from this. That's good for the Flames.

Gallant has now won an RBC cup, Mem cup, 2 x WC gold and has been runner up in the SCF. That’s a damn impressive resume.

I actually was hoping Calgary hired Gallant before Ward... might be a case he can wear on players considering his past successes and firings.

He seems like a good coach though.

Great series for Mangiapane though...hoping he takes this experience into next season

I have to say, this is easily the most interested I've been in the WC in a very long time.

Watching Canada steamroll minnows is boring as all hell, so actually watching them struggle made it interesting and then to make things even better to see a guy like Mangiapane exit the Quarantine Hotel and put his Superman Cape on and drag them the distance made it extra special.

Watching a team overcome some adversity and win is so much more entertaining than watching a team that is expected to win....do just that.

The Finns though...that is a team of Professional Buttholes. The way they play is infuriating. But effective. So hey, I give them all the credit in the world. They played a hell of a Tournament and a hell of a game.

Respect to the Finns, they are professional buttholes, not pretend ones like the Swedes.

Swedish media were laughing at Canada when they started 0-3. Then Sweden doesn't even make the quarters.

One thing I've learned in all my years of watching sports is that one should never, ever underestimate the Power of Spite.

Good for him!

Another thing that was great was that there were no Edmontonians.

A couple of Calgary guys, some small town Alberta guys, the usual complement of guys from Ontario and Quebec and the Maritimes, but no Edmontonians.

Proud of Mangi, that was an amazing tourney for him. Hopefully a stepping stone to NHL stardom. I really think he has it in him to be a Marchand lite. He's always buzzing out there looking to make a difference.

Too bad Dube got hurt and missed the tourney though.

Also too bad Connor Brown didn't become a Flame. Just one more reason to hate Nazem Kadri. That guy really, really ####ed us over bad. We didn't get him, we didn't get Brown before he broke out, and we ended up losing Brodie for nothing in the end, and then Brodie ended up as a Leaf anyways. All because one guy invoked his no trade clause. Brutal.

It is a great tournament, it's too bad Oiler fans have tainted it for me. The Ryan Smythe years where all they could talk about was the World Championships after they blew another season. The fact that Lowe and company are ingrained in the Hockey Canada fabric. Puke.

Yeah but then the Oilers hired all the Team Canada guys to run the team and that was pretty funny, so it evens out IMO

Good for Andrew Mangiapane and Team Canada, great win.

I'm happy and proud of Andrew and the rest of the guys as well. He could have just as easily said no and gone on with his summer but it shows what kind of person he is.
I think this win is awesome for him and his career really, it gives a good feeling of what winning is all about and what it means to win, even in a quick tournament like this.

I was already thinking of getting his jersey prior to this but now I will for sure.

Is Lowe still with Hockey Canada? If he is, I won't be surprise is NHL going to 2022 Winter Olympic he'd want to put Nurse in.
