I will reiterate it here because it blew my mind when i read it,
Brad Marchand is the 3rd highest scoring player in the entire NHL over the last 5 seasons.

and a 3rd round pick to boot! little doubt it really really helps to acquire and nail those picks in the top 3, but when you hit on these later ones you can set up you team for a long time. The Bs grabbed Kessel at 5 that day but didn't stop til they came home with Lucic and Marchand. and they already had Krejci and Bergeron in the stable as 2nd round picks from years earlier. that's setting yourself up for a happy decade (and of course they weren't done as they grabbed Seguin and others)
that's an original 6 team now with Bergeron, Krejci and Marchand in their top 13 (and soon to be top 10) all time GP list

It goes to show you can be a successful player in regular season AND playoffs if your under 6 foot. But you better play like your 6’5 LOL
