You could see that last goal coming. That was a dominant shift by Vegas.

He could have had that last one, but I've seen NHL goalies give up that goal my whole life.

This loss (if it holds up) isn't on Talbot.

Nice save.
Talbot's square for last goal now, at least.

Positioning was terrible...but moreso this is how it felt with him last year. Just couldn't make "that" save when needed.

Galley and Hrudey are right. When you’re a goalie, you play the shot that you expect coming off the stick, based on the shooter’s mechanics and how the puck usually comes off that stick. Seeing that puck on end, the shot has more air resistance, flutters and drops.

Sucks when it happens, but weird puck trajectories that happen are just things that happen. Not bad goaltending

Its not Talbot's fault but he hasn't been great and that is what he needed to be

He's an average or slightly above average NHL goalie.
I agree with your general sentiment, because after Vegas scored the 3rd goal, I thought he needed to make all the saves from then on. Obviously didn't happen, and they are in tough now.

Watching this game and a good portion of the rest of the series I'll say that the Flames have a better roster than the Wild.

What an excellent time for a hat trick. Just drive it into Minnesota's soul.

Sorry if it's been discussed already but, why was Parise out for the first few games? Was he sat because he wasn't one of the top 12 forwards, or was it more of a message being sent?
