I probably would have started with trading Bennett and Rittich in the offseason.

Covid was a legitimate "excuse" for last offseason but this offseason there needs to be some major changes. And I don't mean trading Gaudreau for players with less skill.

I agree, would be nice to have at least one player that can finish on a regular basis.

What do you consider a major change?

I'd look at seeing if you can do a swap with Tkachuk similar to Laine for PLD.
Getting a RW would be a good start.

Pretty disappointing end to the game. I missed seeing Darryl stand on the bench as they exited, but I expect they felt the burn from his stare. Wonder what the post-game locker room talk entailed. Ha. Ha.

Lindholm and Mangiapane need some letters on their jersey next year. This much I know.

Not dressing Kylington was the very least of the Flames problems tonight.

It's a tough loss but it's also tough to win 3 games against the same team, I still believe and will follow to the end.
I thought Gio was brutal tonight, 2 penalties and fell down and turned the puck over at least 3 times at critical times, I like Gio but this was a bad game from him.
Also Buddy Robinson and Nikita Nesterov should go back on the taxi squad, I just think neither were any good tonight.
It's a setback but they need to keep winning, you never know!

Honestly at this point, I don't care what they do. I don't really feel anything for this team. Not sure there is anyone on the team anymore that I tune in to watch. Although I do feel like we have a good goalie.

Such a juxtaposition watching the Flames game to the Oilers game against the Jets right now.
So that's what a team that can score goals looks like. And it's just coming from two players!

Agreed, but I’m not sure what he did to get this treatment either. He is the better option than Nesterov as the Flames need all the offence they can get and he helps with that. It’s nice to win 2-1 games but that implies you have to be able to score 2. At least with Kylington over Nesterov those odds increase 0.5% and any little bit helps.

I think it’s no coincidence the Tkachuk we knew and loved disappeared after the Muzzin incident and they told him to keep a lid on it. Possibly with Gio gone and some new core pieces would be different. But again I’d be lying if I said the skating wasn’t a concern.

His skating is on par with Toffoli, he doesn't seem to have any issues.

Oliver Kylington must hold the record for most air time on CP compared to minutes actually played.
Oops second to Bennett.

Very disappointing how Tkachuk has completely wilted. He's actually a complete non- factor for this team. He literally contributes nothing.

San is getting lots of icetime now I doubt Kylington will move on to another team and get icetime. That being said, I hope in the final 7 games Oliver gets to see some time in the lineup. Somehow, I just do not think Nesterov will turn into Rod Langway. Once we are out, I hope Darryl takes a look at Oliver to see what he thinks he has in him.
