Its not being transmitted on the ice...its on the bench and even moreso in the locker room is my guess.

It’s nowhere near done. Seniors have, for the most part, had only half of their shots.

My mom is 78 and she only got her first last month (at the earliest possible time) and they are stretching the second. I think completed doses are only 1.75% in the entire country (not just seniors).

Also, there is some evidence that the current vaccines have limited effectiveness, although nothing conclusive at this point.
Honestly, I would be fine shutting the Flames down for the season. Even though there aren't cases that they are aware of, why risk it at this point just for our entertainment? I guess some of the players might disagree at least until they are mathematically eliminated, but they seem pretty tuned out anyway at this point.

When it comes to describing the Flames, you should include at least 16 sets of quotation marks around the word entertainment.

It depends when you booked. Anyone who booked before they changed systems is getting the second shot on the original schedule. My father in law is in his late 70s, and is scheduled for his second dose on Friday. But anyone who booked even a few days later than we did for him (which probably includes lots of 70+) isn't getting the second dose any time soon.

Telling someone to apologize for a comment that clearly had no real bad intent is being pretty sensitive....in MY opinion of course.

I don't know if this is still relevant to the arenas in question but interesting for sure.

It's not even about the players why they're really playing though. It's all about the TV contract obligations. The league does not want to owe money back when they don't have any coming in for the most part.

There was no partnership on the table and Trump even signed an America First executive order. The U.S. has a clear track record of focusing on themselves above all else.
|
I see, the US providing the bulk of the funding for NATO and the United Nations indicates to you that they are not open to working with other nations.
Canada was able to step up and enter some sort of mixed up Agreement with China who has a China first policy along with absolute atrocious human rights, gender, religious, income equality record.
Never once did our leaders step up and ask to be part of operation warp speed and spend our billions of vaccination tax dollars on the viable US plan. It would have been an admission that Trump administration was not completely stupid or evil.
There would be no possible negative reaction from the US to Trudeau stepping up and asking to provide 10% of the funding for operation warp speed for priority delivery of the vaccine to Canadians.
For the good of the Canadian people our leaders should have been doing everything possible to jump on Operation warp speed. Rather they let the Canadian people bear the burnt of their never ending lock down policy to exert whatever minor influence they had over the US election.
Right now the actual real Canadian vaccination plan is getting the surplus vaccines after the US is fully vaccinated.
The US is the process of vaccinating everyone and coming out of lock down.
The US based players on the Canadian teams must be wondering what the heck they are doing on a Canadian team and calculating the impact of going for a quick trip to their US homes to get vaccinated and put up with the quarantines on getting back into Canada.

Number of positive cases climbing within the Vancouver Canucks. More than 20 players/coaches combined have tested positive. Variant symptoms include vomiting, cramping and dehydration. Family members are getting it. Scary situation. Next 5-7 days will determine scheduling.

The variants spread a lot easier and faster, masks alone aren't enough. Eye/face protection is crucial along with washing your hands after touching basically anything and everything. The Brazil variant is supposed to be the worst yet, I feel sorry for everyone involved and hope they can find a way to contain this. This is why isolation is key with this, its spreading like wildfire.

They have tested positive for COVID. Doctors are not merely guessing at symptoms.
Besides, if I am not mistaken I believe that with mask mandates, social distancing and increased hand washing seasonal flu and cold outbreaks are way down this year.
