Does anyone actually understand why Markstrom is in tonight?

Ward already burnt him out once. He played last night - tonight should be Rittich’s game.

why is Markstrom even in net on a back to back? Surely Rittich would be more fresh?

Yeah this is what I thought was going to happen. This looks like another no-show against the worst team in the division. Can't blame Ward for this stinker. This is simply a bad hockey team.
