I’d just like to not see: stupid passes, stupid giveaways, bailing on getting hit to make a play, bailing on dishing out hits, weak shots into the goalie’s crest and taking stupid penalties. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for.

I'll likely watch the 1st like I have all year so far. And then decide if it's worth watching . My expectations are so low.

Kylington doesn't know yet that he is supposed to only pass backward, not use his (team best) skating ability, pinch, or show any emotion whatsoever. I expect big things tonight, before his spirit is crushed.

I've lost hope after that Avs series two years ago, and the Stars series in the bubble put the nail in the coffin of me ever having hope when it comes to this team. I'm not surprised they're still mediocre, they're issue was depth scoring but instead we got a goalie and a defenceman even though goaltending has not been a problem the last two seasons. At this point the more losses the better at least we can finally hire a gm who isn't cheap when it comes to making a big move.

This feels like a Reider and the Oilers type of season for Leivo. Guy just can't score.

Excited to watch the Flames blow the Leafs out of the water tonight. Will it happen? I don't know, but I hope it does.

I predict at least one goal from every line tonight - this will be a team contribution. Gawdin with his first career goal.

I predict Kylington looks good alongside Valimaki today after a few shifts. Fairly sure that he will have the case of the nerves tonight, but he will settle-in and do fine. I thought he did mostly fine last season, with a few really good games, and 2 rather atrocious games. Hopefully this kid puts it together and starts showing his skill level.

5-0 Flames.

I hate that we're probably looked at as a doormat right now.

And its justified, I have no belief that they'll "take it to" any one.

Screw you Flames.

Flames need to split against the Leafs and win 3/4 against Sens. No excuses.

Maybe Toronto thinks they'll win by just showing up?

Given the bag of dog poop that the Flames have been for the past couple weeks...that likely does get it done.

Maybe the Flames show some pride and make it a game. But I doubt it. They look like they have all gone to the Shane O'Brien school of how to set your personal priorities and bought into that pretty hard core at this point in time.

I'll always be a fan of the team but I won't watch a team that's totally checked out. Why waste my time? I was never dumb enough to think they could even come close to contending for a Cup but I thought they might sneak into 4th and do their usual playoff collapse. I guess they just decided, why wait? Let's pack it in now and try not to get injured so we can get our asses traded out of town.

I vowed that I'd watch the first 10 minutes and if the Flames sucked I'd record it and turn it off. Guess we'll see which comes first - that or dinner. (It's 4:00 for me, too....so I'm thinking the TV might be off early.) Ugh. Not expecting anything wonderful tonight. Would be nice though.

Way to set the bar low.

2/2, 4/4. Then the Flames and I can be on speaking terms again.

We need to dress the zamboni driver in order to win.

Hire KGB agents to ambush Matthews and Marner and put them in the trunk of a car until the end of the game. Then let them out of the trunk.

Man what a change to the lineup with Monahan back ... huge change.

Kylington ... would love to see him take a step. I've said it over and over though, he doesn't use his speed in both directions. He glides when he gets the puck, almost like his processing is stuck in neutral.

But would love to be wrong!

Not gonna lie, that 3rd pairing could be in for a long night

They should try:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Dube
Tkachuk-Lindholm-Kylington
Lucic-Backlund-Mangiapane
Gawdin-Bennett-Robinson

Same D as always. Maybe Nesterov over Mackey against the Leafs.

I’m hoping this year is the nail in the coffin for the core of this team. I think missing the playoffs and the fact that the Gaudreau and Monahan contracts are coming up soon should be enough to cause some significant moves finally. I guess we’ll see though.
